Swallow Barn, Ullswater
Our conversion of Swallow Barn carved a light-filled contemporary living space from within the redundant space. Intimate spaces have been created via a series of screens within an imaginative split-level ground floor layout which is complemented by varying light sources through rooflights, double-height spaces and agricultural style metal windows. Our technical approach included lime-based breathable wall insulation, recycled materials and the integration of an air source heat pump with MVHR. Visit the Laik website to stay here.
